Western Paper Team Helps Fill Stockings For Veterans

During this season of giving, one of the opportunities our team members supported was a donation drive for stocking stuffers for local veterans. The Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum collected the items for this event, sponsored by the American Legion Post 58 and the Broomfield Veterans Support Alliance. This is the ninth year of the program.

From sweets and treats to puzzle books and cozy socks, our team members donated hundreds of items to this program, helping to fill dozens of stockings. These stockings were donated to elderly veterans in nursing homes and veterans homes.

The Broomfield Veterans Museum honors local veterans of all the United States conflicts and peacekeeping efforts, from the Civil War to the present, from all branches of service. The museum not only shares the stories of Colorado veterans, it is a center for veterans to connect, students to learn about our nation’s history, groups to explore the rotating exhibits, and families to honor their loved ones who served in the military.
