Western Paper Gets Behind a Great Cause for Men's Health

Over the last 12 years, Western Paper Distributors, a division of Imperial Dade, has supported the efforts of team member Jeff Hartman in raising funds and awareness to support Movember. Jeff, a key member of our Denver Sales Team, is also an Ambassador for the Movember cause and our division is proud to help him reach his goals.

Anyone who knows Jeff knows how passionate he is about what he does, and the Movember cause is no different. For the second year in a row, he was recognized as the #2 fundraiser in the country, and he has raised more than $265,000 for the cause in total. Jeff has even been featured in a global series called, “In the Barber’s Chair” and is scheduled to speak to a large group at Amazon about why he supports this outreach.

As part of our division’s efforts to support his efforts, our team participates in various events designed to raise awareness and funds. Team members who can grow a mustache are encouraged to do so and we track their weekly progress and have team members vote a winner for best “stache.” For team members unable to “grow a “mo,” we offer the option of submitting creative photos to support the cause. We also have various opportunities to raise funds, including a pizza buy-in, a raffle, and a wine pull.

Last year, our team helped Jeff raise $39,500 for Movember. This year, we helped him raise more than $40,000 in support of men’s health. Jeff hosted an event downtown with raffles and giveaways to help fundraise, and many of our team members attended.

Movember is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about men’s mental and physical health. Since it began raising funds 20 years ago, the organization has raised over $1 billion, funding research and programs around mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
