Western Paper Team Member Raises Money for St. Baldrick's Foundation

Back in 2018, the Western Paper family donated more than $2,900 to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and team member Michele Andersen-Heroux demonstrated her commitment to the cause by shaving her head!

The following year, she skipped the head shaving to allow more time for her hair to grow back, but still managed to raise $3,500 in support of St. Baldrick’s.

This year, Michele’s goal was to raise $2,000. On Saturday, March, 19, she attended the local St. Baldrick’s fundraising event, and once again, she shaved her (as you can see above). This year’s effort raised nearly $3,200—well beyond her stated goal!

Once again, the Western Paper family responded to the call by giving generously towards the battle to eliminate childhood cancer! This is a wonderful accomplishment because the St. Baldrick’s Foundation receives no funding from governmental agencies. All monies raised are a result of the compassion and generosity of individuals like Michele and her fellow team members at Western Paper.

We are proud of Michele and her commitment to helping research teams find a cure.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. To learn more, visit their page here.
