Western Paper Team Members Volunteer to Impact Food Insecurity

Western Paper Distributors, a Division of Imperial Dade, partnered with the Food Bank of the Rockies (FBOR) Mobile Pantry to help assemble and distribute groceries to families in need in the Denver community. We are committed to serving those in our community in need, and our team members definitely stepped up in this recent opportunity. Our team helped break down pallets, assemble grocery boxes, and distribute about 13,000 pounds of food, including frozen meats and fresh produce. With 9 individuals from a variety of departments, our team helped assisted in their mission: to ignite the power of community to nourish people facing hunger.

Western Paper offers team members paid volunteer hours to partner with FBOR several times a year to serve those struggling with food insecurity. Kelsey Johnson, a member of our Supplier Management team, said of the event, “It felt really good to get out and do something meaningful. It’s an incredible experience to truly see the difference you can make for people.”

Food Bank of the Rockies is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region, putting the power of community to work for neighbors in need. In fact, they have the largest food bank coverage area in the contiguous United States, serving communities across Colorado and Wyoming. In fiscal year 2022, the FBOR’s Mobile Pantries provided enough food for more than 490,400 meals every month. We’re proud to partner with them regularly.
