Western Paper Team Members Give Back to Mexican Children in Need in Riviera Nayarit!

Once a year, a special group of team members at Western Paper are given a chance to head south for a bit of rest, relaxation and celebration. It’s an annual incentive trip earned by team members who reach their performance goals for the year.

It’s also a chance to give back, and one of the most anticipated parts of the trip is a service outreach day to benefit the local community. This year, Western Paper team members were in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, and thanks to a generous gift from the Morris Family Foundation, they were able to build and donate nearly two dozen bicycles to “social orphans” (children whose parents are either unwilling or unable to care for them). It’s difficult to say whether the kids or our team members were smiling more!

This special trip has become an annual tradition and something our team looks very much forward to because it gives them and their “plus ones” a chance to serve others while building closer connections within the Western Paper family—all in a relaxed setting that is good for the mind, heart, body and soul.
