Each year, the top performing sales consultants and leadership team at Western Paper enjoy a team building experience in Mexico. A vital component of this incentive trip includes an outreach to children in outlaying impoverished areas. This spring, the team partnered with Casa Hogar, a privately funded children’s home that acts as a safe haven for children when their parents have been reported to the police for negligence or abuse. Armed with paint and supplies, the team painted the building and also donated a variety of much needed food and cleaning supplies.

In addition, the team ventured out to local soup kitchen that feeds hungry children and provides a safe place to eat and find spiritual and social support. Many of these children are dealing with issues of abuse, abandonment and addiction. The team performed maintenance and trash removal, and donated new clothing, a variety of toys and money for food. The smiles and grateful hearts of the children made this outreach incredibly rewarding.
